The Rideshare Company provides Whale with equipment van

by Kaylee Herndon

SIMSBURY, CT - The Connecticut Whale announced today a two-year partnership with The Rideshare Company (TRC), a non-profit organization that provides ridesharing services and programs for corporations, government agencies, and individuals. As a part of this partnership, The Rideshare Company has become the Official Vehicle Provider of the Connecticut Whale.

A key effort of this partnership is to make it easier for players to get equipment to and from games through the use of a TRC vehicle as the team equipment van. Commonly, women’s professional players have to transport their own equipment to practices and games.

“TRC and the Whale share the joint mission of improving our community,” said Whale Principal Owner Tobin Kelly. “Our initial partnership allows us to elevate how we treat professional women’s hockey players while also giving the great people who TRC supports the opportunity to experience the beauty of the professional women’s game. Over time, we expect our partnership to benefit our respective organizations and the community around us.”

Also as a part of the partnership, TRC will be the presenting sponsor of our home game on Sunday, February 19 against the Toronto Six. They plan to recognize their time-honored community partners who play an integral role in driving ability—both on and off the ice! Jam out to 70s hits and grab a retro Whale t-shirt on your way into the game!

“I am so proud of all the work we have accomplished throughout the years with our partners. To have clients of 5 years, and some of even 20 years, is something that we take great pride in at TRC. Holding this sort of event only scratches the surface of our appreciation to them,” said Nanci Carnabuci Fitzgerald, CEO and President of TRC.
